With all the current news about Adidas and the cost of the All Blacks shirts we thought we would visually show how you can monitor the sentiment in relation to your brand with SentiRate (Sentiment is the emotion or attitude associated to a section of text).

This graph shows the Sentiment of New Zealand based comments on Twitter and Facebook about Adidas. It was generated at approx 11:50am using version 2.0.1 of SentiRate.

As a comparison the same parameters were used for analyse Nike.

The web page that created these graphs is expected to be going live on the evening of Friday 12 August 2011 so you can track the sentiment associated with each of these companies yourself – Live! This page will also show the ‘tweets’ and ‘posts’ that were used to generate the sentiments. We will link to those pages here and send an email to all those on our Informer Mailer list. Changes include:

• Added underscores to separate element names.
• Altered element names to be more readable.
• Added a ‘summary’ tag around the overview information.
• Move the sentence count element up to the summary section.
• Added a ‘number’ element to each sentence to enable ordering etc.
